ABOUT

TONY ROBBINS
Flight Instructor
MY STORY
As long as I can remember I have been inspired with things that fly. While still in high school I started skydiving, which was my first introduction to aviation. Later I started to instruct and became qualified as a jumpmaster for the static line and freefall progression program at Missouri River Vally Skydivers Currently I provide pilot instruction at ATD Flight Systems located at the downtown airport in Kansas City. I am a Gold Seal FAA Certified Flight Instructor with Instrument and Multi-engine privileges. I specialize in teaching technologically advanced aircraft, including Garmin, Avidyne, Rockwell Collins and Honeywell equiped aircraft. I also teach tailwheel transition courses.
In 1992 I met my first Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and took my first flight lesson. I made my first solo flight on July 20th, 1992 at the Lexington Municipal airport. Since then I've been hooked on airplanes and aviation. Throughout the years I have also enjoyed hot air balloons, ultra lights, gliders and especially skydiving. I do have a another life when not flying airplanes. I work full-time for the city of North Kansas City as a firefighter and paramedic. I love this job because it gives me an opportunity to help others and work with the public. I also consider the people I work with my second family since we, eat, sleep, and work 24-hour shifts together. We share a unique camaraderie. When not firefighting or flight instructing I provide contract pilot services in Cessna Citation jet aircraft.

I’ve been happily married since October 2001 to my wife Summer. We have two wonderful daughters Kiersten and Kenzy. We also have a dog and his name is Yeager, as in "Chuck Yeager". As a family we frequently enjoy flying to new places. Many of our vacations are centered on aviation.

Aviation has allowed me to meet many new friends and I always look forward to new aquaintances. Friendship has always been one of the most important things to me. For this I am overwhelmingly grateful.

Besides a flight instructor, I am also an independent contract pilot. I have logged over 5000 hours in fixed wing aircraft since 1992. I hold CE-525S plus CE-500 type ratings and currently fly a large variety of aircraft in and around the Midwest. I understand the need for discretion and professionalism in todays flying environment. Customer service, privacy and safety are my highest priorities.
I am available for short or long term contract flying.
